Micam - The Shoe Event.

It's shoeshow time and the Milan one is one of my favourites. What I love the most is the International Designers section which each season shows collections from brands like Tsumori Chisato, F-Troupe, Georgina Goodman, Rakish Heel, Kron by KronKron, United Nude, Minna Parikka, only to name a few.

I didn't get much time to get around (work you see..) but I got the chance to stop by Minna Parikka's stand - her shoes are fantastic. Minna wasn't there because at Premiere Classe clashing with Micam, but I got to meet the lovely girls that work with her!

Minna Parikka shoes are designed in Helsinki and manufactured in Spain. Retail price is high, but how can you resist to those bow ankle boots!?
Shoes aren't the only thing that make Minna's brand distinctive. The brand has a collection of bags and gloves which are simply amazing. I got a pair of heart gloves for myself. Fetish and so cute.

MP used to have a knitwear collection which, much to my disappoint, has been taken out of the market this season. Paloma Faith was a big fan....how to blame her!

Minna Parikka has celebrated the brand's 5th anniversary with signature pieces, like the Jodie heart trim style, re-proposed in new metallic shades.
For AW11 Minna has also launched a cool capsule collection called WOMEN ARE DANGEROUS ANIMALS (ha!) 'inspired to glam rock, art deco and lethal women'. Spider web, dracula mouth and curled snake details appear on killer heels. Lovely matching handbags are also part of the collection.

On the Miss L Fire stand I met Vivi Ponti from Vivetta and her mother (the trendiest lady ever!). I've met Vivi in 2008 at my first Micam and since then her brand has expanded and is now stocked in boutiques around the world. Some of her pieces are stocked in Fifi Wilson in London.

I have been invited to Vivi's studio in Milan so I will keep you posted when I'll get to go! Possibly during my next trip to Milan.  Vivi showed me her AW11 collection and now I cannot wait for September to see it in the stores! Her clothes are to die for. Check her website vivetta.it. You won't be disappointed!

Till next post!

xx
